Simple, Healthy and Delicious Meal

I had a deeeellicious dinner of cous cous, tomato medley, red onion and feta.
It's very simple to make, yummy to eat, and a nice vegetarian, healthy meal.

 All you need is:
  • Tomato medley - or grape or cherry tomatoes
  • Danish Feta
  • Red Onion
  • Cous Cous
First, grab as much cous cous as you need. If you are only making it for yourself I would grab about half a cup of cous cous (I'm not exactly sure because I made a big bowl of cous cous so we could have leftovers and that was 2 cups of cous cous which feeds like 5 people) and pour it into a pan with a nob of butter. Turn on the stove to about medium heat and stir the cous cous constantly. This will toast the cous cous and give it a nutty flavour. Then, turn off the heat and add half a cup of hot water (an equal proportion of boiling water to cous cous) to the pan, again stirring constantly. Your cous cous may seem a bit sloppy at first but give it a few minutes to let the grains soak up the water. Serve your cous cous in a bowl. Chop your tomatoes in half or have them whole and put them on top. Chop up the feta into small chunks or break it over the cous cous (whichever way you prefer) and then slice some onion into small wedges and drop over your bowl.
And there you have it, a simple and deeelicious meal for lunch or dinner :)

My Fav Photo Apps

Hey guys,

The other day I gave quite a few reviews on my game apps. So today I am finally giving a review on my favourite photo apps.

My first and most favourite is of course, Instagram. Now we've all heard of Instagram, in fact most of us have it. Well, especially teenagers. But it has to be the most addictive app I have. It is more addictive at the start when you're trying to find anything to take a picture of -clouds mostly- but you get the hang of it with practice. It's a great way of and sharing pics with everyone and as a personal inspiration for yourself. You can also upload pictures from your library. So if you took some holiday pics on your camera you can still upload them to Instagram. Plus it's free! No ads, and no in-app purchases. Don't feel discouraged if you don't have an iPhone. I have an iPod Touch 4th gen and it takes terrible quality photos but it's still fun. Unfortunately Instagram does not come for the iPad but you can download Instagram viewers like Padgram.

Ok if you have Instagram, then FanScan is a good app to have to find your biggest fan (the person who likes your photos the most) and fans of everyone else too! It used to be called Instafan but changed with the update.

If you don't like Instagram but you like the effects, ArtCamera has got almost exactly the same effects except you don't have to crop it, there are no borders and you don't post it to Instagram. But for some strange reason I can't seem to find it on the store anymore. It says it's only on the Chinese store or something so maybe it moved. So I don't know what happened to it but if you do find it, it's a good photo effects app.

I got Font Candy+ fairly recently but I still haven't quite gotten the hang of it. It's a great app for adding text to your pics - or pictures to your text ;). There is a free version of this which is good if you just want to try it out before you pay for the full version.

Rhonda Designs I also got recently and like Font Candy+, you can add a mask to your photos and add text plus so much more! It's hard to explain what you can do but just click on the link and have a look. It takes a bit of getting used to; I still haven't gotten the hang of it yet. But it's pretty cool and once you find the right balance of number of stickers you add and the layout etc, you get a pretty cool image. Creating a logo is another idea you could use this app for.

WordFoto is not one of my most highly recommended apps. I don't really use it much and you kind of get bored of it but it's kind of cool how it fills your picture with words. And you can change the word/s, the font, the colour. It's a pretty good app for what it does I just don't have much use for it.

Bokehful has to be one of my most favourite photo apps. It's not like other photo editing apps. You cannot crop, enhance or add effects to your photos. But trust me it is easy, simple, fun and makes your photos look beautiful!

Camera+ is one of my most favourite apps for intense effects. I use it a lot when I want to create a very surreal effect on my photos. Here are some examples of the photos I've created:

So as you can see they're no very subtle effects but you can change the intensity of the effect if you don't want it to be that strong. You can also easily crop your photos and add borders. Believe it or not I actually took those photos myself :)

Now if you like the kind of silly effects that make your head squish in or your fingers curl (Photobooth) then you will probably like Mega Photo. It has tonnes of effects where you can either put your head on the Mona Lisa or have your face burst into fireworks, and it's free. However there is an in-app purchase if you want to access all the effects. It doesn't cost much and you get soooo many effects that I think it's worth it.

Now if you have an iTouch 4th gen or an iPad (like me) you will probably be annoyed that the camera does not come with a panorama camera. So you have to buy panoramic app which is not going to be as good as the built in panoramas they give those lucky iPhone users but you still want to take a panoramic photograph. If you don't really like paying for apps - such as myself - and you want a free panoramic app then I suggest Cycloramic. It's not great quality but I have found that it is the easiest and most simplist app for taking panoramic shots. Here is a few panoramas I took at Perisher:

It does make your pictures a little distorted but that can't be helped and it gets the job done.

Next is Pic Collage which is my most favourite app for putting pictures in frames and collages. I highly recommend it as it is super easy to use and makes great collages and frames with very little effort. You can have up to 12 photos in a frame and as many photos as you want in a collage. You can change the background in a collage or make the background a photo, you can trim photos and change the size and rotation with a simple tap, swipe and and a twist. You can change the colour or pattern of the border and you can add stickers and text. This is definitely the best app for the job.

If your looking to change the background of your home screen or lock screen Pimp Your Screen is a classic and has so many wonderful background for your iTouch, iPhone and iPad that your sure to find one you like. Unfortunately it does require interent connection so download your favourite wallpapers at home and choose your favourite one when you get the chance. You can also create your own lock screen and home screen wallpapers using there images or yours.

Well that's all for now, I have currently misplaced my iTouch so I don't know if there are any other apps but if there are I'll make a part two.

Until then,
Jody

Lush obsession and my week cont.d

Hi guys, yesterday I told you that I was starting to get obsessed with Lush. Well, I don't think I'm obsessed but I definitely do love it right now. Last night I used the Snowcake Soap and it made me smell so nice....mmmm.....that sounds a bit weird.... It's hard to describe the kind of scent it was. It wasn't very distinctive; like it isn't a flavour. It just....smelled......clean.....
It was so hard trying to use the soap without rubbing off all the golden sparkles but I ended rubbing off a lot of sparkle anyway :(
Anyway, I'm probably not going to use my bath bombs for a veeerryyy long time as they are so precious (and not cheap) and I don't want to waste them even though I really want to try them.

The Snowcake soap after I had rubbed away a lot of the golden sparkles on top

My box of LUSH goodies :D (minus the soap)
My hands before I had even taken the soap out of the packet - already covered in gold!

I also went shopping at Typo yesterday and I bought..... Airline Bag Black, 2 rolls of Christmas wrap (which I don't think look Christmassy at all so I'm going to use them for birthdays), a Tote Bag with a cute forest print (I saw the fox on it and had to get it), a Red Transforma Tablet (which is now on my iPad), a little Tiny Book which is actually a storage compartment (I thought it would be good to put a little present in e.g. jewellery), and a 2014 Peanuts Calendar :) Yay!
So as you can see I also have a bit of an obsession with Typo. I seriously have little self control when shopping; I just, love, everything!
Plus there was a sale.

Oh oh oh! And I found this little website (well, you've probably all found it before me as it was the top hit on Google) which print your Instagram pictures and it's sooooooooooo cute!!! My favourites are the Stickers and the Mini Book. And everything is so mini!
If you want to print your Instagram pictures in a book but not a mini book, Blurb is a good website to go to. They also print your pictures in different layouts (e.g. cookbook, photo journal) but I think the Instagram book is cute and easy to do. You can also sell your book online! They do all the work for you. You just set the amount of profit you want to make and they sell your book.

Well I think that's all for now,
Thank you for supporting this blog,

Jody

Hello chillin's

Hi guys, I am working on the My Fav Photo Apps reviews as we speak but here is my yummy breakfast. I used Camera+ for the effect and Rhonna Designs for the writing. So don't go away because I am working on the app reviews and the part 2 of yesterday's post.

And there's a little story behind this photograph too. first of all someone (implying my mum) left the panettone uncovered and so today the panettone was dry. Luckily, there was only one slice left so she didn't ruin the whole cake. So I had to toast but it still tasted nice. But can I just say that is one of the best Panettones I have ever had! The bread was deliciously soft and it was filled with scrumptious sultanas and dried orange, lemon and lime peel. Mmmmmmmmmm......... If you don't know, Panettone is an Italian Christmas cake and it is delicious so if you haven't tried one, you MUST. They traditionally only come out at Christmas but you might still be able to find one.

Gosh I'm sooo sorry

Guys I'm so sorry, I'm really bad at blogging and I'm really lazy and forgetful so I haven't posted in a long time. I also still haven't posted my favourite photo app reviews yet but I will get onto that tomorrow. Well let's see, first of all, Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas surrounded by family and/or friends and eating lots and lots and lots and lots of delicious food! Did you know I have never had an advent calendar before? Can you believe that? I have always wanted one but I always forget to get them and I don't know where or when to find them because it's not exactly a Christmas tradition for me and nobody buys them for me. But I told my grandma this and she said she'd buy me an advent calendar next year. Oh and if it's not too expensive (which it most probably will be) I really want a body shop advent calendar next year of there is one because they look AWESOME! So that's something I want to do next year. Also, if you watch Youtubers then you may know that some people attempted Vlogmas this year. I thought I could do something like that next year. Let me know in the comments if you have suggestions, I know it's a really long way away but I am really in the Christmas spirit (which mainly involves eating as much as you want and anything you want without anyone judging you) and I can't wait until next year's Christmas. It would be nice to just skip 2014 and do Christmas all over again but unfortunately it's not going to happen. Also, I have just discovered LUSH (from youtubers; namely Zoella) and I am seeing a dangerous obsession forming. Luckily the prices deter me a little bit but when there is a sale (like there is now) I am there and aimed with cash $$$ (well, not much of it now). So if you don't know what LUSH is, it is in the beauty/health products category. Basically they sell, soap, shower gels, shampoos, perfumes, bath melts and bath bombs and more! Now I had never heard of a bath bomb or a bath melt until I started watching Zoella but they look so cool and I can't wait to try mine which by the way..... I bought my own little Christmas gift from LUSH today.
And it was on sale - which is why I bought it. All the Christmas gifts were 50% off (as no one is buying Christmas gifts anymore) so this box was only $10 and came with a Golden Wonder Bath Ballistic, a Luxury Lush Pud Bath Ballistic and a Snowcake Soap. They also sold these products individually and the Christmas creations were also on sale but I thought it was cute and easier to get myself a little Lush gift box.

Now a warning to those planning on going into Lush, it is a very smelly shop and those who are sensitive to smells do not go in. I'm not a fan of strong smells, it's inherited. Although I am most definitely not as bad as my dad who absolutely cannot stand strong smells. But some of their products just smell and sound so delicious. You can go on their website to get an idea of the kind of products they have. So if you have no idea what a bath bomb is, well, I don't really know what it is but you put one in your bath (or half or a quarter depending on whether you want to use the whole lot in one go or save it) while it's running and it will dissolve and fizz and bubble and turn your bath into a swirling pool of colours (or so I imagine) and all the oils and scents that are in there will come floating out and make you and your bathroom smell fragrant with whatever type of bath bomb it is. Some of them - depending on what is inside - are meant to wake you up in the morning whereas some are meant to calm you down after a hard day. They are also a kind of soap, that cleans and moisturizes your body....mmmmmmm...... I mean.....that's what I think.... check the online store for more details - LUSH
So I had a lovely shower with my new Snowcake soap. I then made my bed and changed the sheets, updated my status on Facebook, edited some photos, uploaded those photos onto Facebook and now I've been writing this post for you. I am sooo tired now so I will a part 2 of this post tomorrow. Keep updated by email if you like (on the sidebar). And stay tuned for a "My Fav Photo Apps" review and another post about my Christmas week and the pressies I got :)

Until then,
Merry Christmas

App Reviews

Hi guys,
Today I thought I'd give you a review on my favourite apps.

First of all, these are mostly old apps, nothing that new, so I recommend this post for new iPhone/iTouch/iPad users etc.

Games

Ok my first one is Cut the Rope.
Now you've probably heard of this game before but it is a really cute game! It's kind of a puzzle game. You solve levels by feeding "Om Nom" the candy. There are also sequels of the game; Cut the Rope Experiments and Cut the Rope Time Travel. You may get sick of Cut the Rope after a while as there are so many levels but Time Travel has less levels and is also very fun (more levels come with the updates).

The next one is Where's My Water? Like Cut the Rope, Where's My Water is a puzzle game. It is the same game style as Cut the Rope and it's fun and addictive. If you like Cut the Rope then I think you will like this game too. Again, it does get boring after a while.

Now the all-time classic has also become a pc/mac game and Nintendo game. Yes, it's Plants vs Zombies. Now I have always though this is a fun and entertaining game. I'm not a zombie person but I really do like this style of game and I would highly recommend it to you. If you finish the game, don't stress! You can still play the zombie garden an the mini games, or, you can just play it all over again! There is now also Plants vs Zombies HD and Plants vs Zombies 2 if you want to try them out but I've never used them before so I don't know how they'll be but PvZ 2 looks really bad.

Jetpack Joyride is a fun and hilarious game. I would definitely recommend it to anyone (but especially boys - or if you have boy humour) as it is extremely entertaining and you don't really get sick of it. You play as "Barry", a guy who has stolen a machine gun jet pack and is making his way through the lab while dodging obstacles and lasers while killing scientists, trying out different power suits and completing goals. You press and hold the screen to make him go higher and let go to make him fall. There are no levels, you just keep going until you beat your friend's high score! ;D

This next one is a classic. Now, Pocket God is a little sadistic but it's very fun! And there's always plenty to do! Basically you torture little people ("pygmys") and kill them in different ways. Trust me its more fun then it sounds. You can complete goals and put pygmys in battle, there really is a lot to do and it's very entertaining :)

Next on the list is Temple Run. But specifically, Temple Run Brave. Now we all know temple run, it's gotten a bit old now and a bit boring. Temple Run Brave is basically the same thing except you get to play as Merida (from the movie Brave), the landscape is different and you get to shoot some arrows along the way. Still, if you're a newbie I recommend you try out this game especially if you're obsessed with the movie ;)

Now Despicable Me: Minion Rush is similar Temple Run in some ways but its quite recent and MUCH MORE FUN! :D It doesn't matter if you haven't watched Despicable Me 2 you will still love this game! It's fast paced, funny, entertaining and there are different areas to play in so you won't get bored of this game easily. Temple Run players may love this especially but I would recommend it to anyone and if you have an iPad you MUST get it! It is so much better on the iPad and easier too in my opinion.

Ovenbreak is a cute little classic about a gingerbread man running away from a witch's lair. It's cute, easy to play, but also good for experienced gamers because of the harder levels. Again, there is also Ovenbreak 2 and Ovenbreak Infinity but I don't know if they're any good.

If you've heard of Froggy Jump, then you'd have a good idea of what Mega Jump is like. Except it's better than Froggy Jump and Doodle Jump but it's that kind of game. Not one of my must-haves, but an alright game none the less.

Mega Jump's sequel, Mega Run, is GREAT. I can honestly say that this is a fun an entertaining game that I still play. The only problem is that they now have in-app purchases if you want to play more levels. But I just play it over and over again until I get it perfect and that keeps me busy.

Parking Mania Lite is free and is fun and challenging to play but it's over very quickly. Apart from 2 levels that I can't do, I've finished the other levels and it's not really fun after you've already done it. But, it's free, and good for temporary entertainment.

Gelato Mania is a cute game that's fun and challenging (sort of) and it's free. Unfortunately it's an old game and they've stopped making updates which is bad because there's a bug that prevents me from playing the last level. You basically just decorate gelato but you have to copy the one they've done exactly to pass the level. Again, good for temporary entertainment.

That's pretty much it for games. I'll do another one tomorrow on my favourite photo apps.

Katie

I haven't told you about my Katie dog but here she is!

I love her so much but I can't remember when I got it or who gave her to me but it was probably my grandma. Shes sooo soft and so cute and shes my most favourite plush toy and I still love making things for her even though I'm terrible at it :)
I made a Christmas skirt and bows for her a while ago and today I made her a little teddy bear :)

If you're a regular, you may notice something

As you may notice, I've made some changes to the blog template. If this was a proper blog with some meaning to it I wouldv'e made some other changes to but for now, as I am in the middle of high school and still figuring out what I want to do with my life, this is all that's changing. Tell me if you like it or if you don't. There is a poll to your right ----->
Or you can comment

Also I've been becoming more and more interested in studying other blogs and how I can improve mine. But now I must sleep so I will tell you tomorrow...

Fox drawings

Browsing the web the other day and came across some cool fox studies and how to draws, as well as logo-like designs

It kind of looks like a kangaroo to me ;D

I found these 'how to draw's a while ago but I thought I should share them because there's nothing nicer than being able to confidently draw an awesome fox. A feeling which I do not yet know...

My Fashion Designs

If you don't have My Style Studio by Klutz then I definitely recommend you get it!

It is the easiest tool for drawing your own fashion designs as you will ever come to. You just stick the ready made designs onto the model template. Then put on a sheet of already cut tracing paper and trace your design. It's so simple and so easy to use.
At first I started by copying the designs that they had created because I was new at it and didn't know what else to do. After a while I began to put together my own outfits and gain confidence as well as practice in my drawings. Copying the drawings became easier too and my hand became steadier.
I have now started steering away from the patterns and started to hand draw my own unique designs (shown above).
I will show you the designs I have already done. So far I have done 46 designs. I figure that's too many to show in one post. So I've decided to show you two every....day? week? I don't know, I'll see how I go. I really want to just show them all to you now but I don't want to run out of fashions to show you too quickly. Of course I'll keep making them and posting them but I think it would be a nice weekly task to take on.
A blue circle means the drawing is partially original. This means I've copied some of it or most of it from the book but added my own touch somewhere (e.g. different shoes).
A yellow star means the drawing has been completely copied and no part of it was of my own creative initiative.
A red heart means it's one of my favourites. I have a lot of favourites which I have not put a red heart because I've either forgotten about it or if I'm not sure if it deserves to be in the top favourites.

So here are 3 today:

I will show you 2 more next weekend. I will call this ongoing series "Fashion Fun".
Also I ordered an extras kit from the Klutz website. Unfortunately it has to be shipped from America and the shipping costs almost as much as the product itself so that is very unfortunate but it didn't stop me from buying it ;D

While pinning on the very useful Pinterest I found this blog which even though I haven't found many pins I find particularly inspiring, I find the blog itself a little inspiring and also that it's is run by a young student (like myself I suppose - except she is a much better blogger) which you don't see many of these days I'm afraid. They seem to all be run by young women or mothers :) Which is fine of course.
Oh so here's the blog: http://yourstrulyg.com/

Galaxy nails

Hi there, gee it's been so long. Every time I try to get on to my blog I just can't be bothered so I'll start with this:

So I really wanted to try galaxy nails so I went out and got some white nail polish, glitter nail polish and some sponges.
There are lots of tutorials for this and here are some links to tutorials and also some pictures of galaxy nails other people have done:
  • http://www.blogenbeaute.com/nail-art/galaxy-nails-2-kiko-dark-heroine-fall-2013

So this is amazing of course and looks nothing like mine ;) - I do not own this image
And then here are mine:

Here are some of the cool nail polishes I saw at Target:

So anyway that was the Thursday before the holidays.
On Friday of the first week of the holidays I went to Luna Park :)

Then on the following Sunday we (My grandma, grandpa, my brother and myself) went up to the Snowy Mountains and stayed at a ski lodge in Perisher :)

And then last Sunday I had my birthday party because this Friday I turn 15 :D

And I got nail polish as one of my presents

My nails...

Well today was Tuesday and it is the last week of term so we got to do our summer sports today, which for me was ice-skating. The good thing is I can go straight home from Macquarie Centre. Which means I caught the bus at 2:16pm and got home at 2:42pm which is great because I usually have to catch two buses in the afternoon and don't get home until about 4.

Also I painted my nails yesterday. As you know I've become obsessed with looking up different ways to do nails so I just was in the mood to do my own :) I want to buy more nail polish but my birthday is coming up next month so I don't want to buy anything beforehand. I don't know if I can wait though. But I also want to save up my money for other things so I don't know what to do...

Also I'd just like to say that Miley Cyrus was a childhood singer/moviestar not so much idol but my cousin and I used to listen to her music but now she's pretty much a slut. Her music videos are basically pawn now. I'm sorry this paragraph is recommended for mature audiences but I had to get it off my chest. And her music is also no longer good. I mean, I didn't mind when she turned from Hannah Montana to Can't be Tamed in fact I even when to her concert but this is just ridiculous I don't what's going on and I'm not forcing her to change I'm just saying that it's past the point of recovery.

Nails

Also, I have a new pinterest board up, check it out here ---> Nails

Yeah I've kinda become obsessed with looking up nails. My favourite is the galaxy one which I have to try.

Also my Fridays are now complete as Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries is back on! Yay! Unfortunately Dr Blake and Death in Paradise don't come out until next year but the Mentalist comes on again at the end of this month according to Wikipedia but Wiki has a habit of lying to me so I can't trust it!

That's all for now,
Jody

Nine-tailed fox

Wow, I haven't written a blog entry for ages. Sorry about that, I keep forgetting.

Well lets start with; last week I did my art assignment on mythological gods. We had the usual 3 part assignment; 2 theory, 1 practical. So anyway I knew it had to be on mythological gods/creatures/fables etc, etc. So since I love foxes (as you may have guessed) I decided to do mine of the Asian myth, the nine-tailed fox. I think it was originally Chinese but there are Japanese versions too. What I find interesting is that while in European culture, the fox is represented as cunning, clever, resourceful, sneaky, manipulative, deceitful and a trickster; the nine-tailed fox in ancient Chinese culture has been symbolised very differently. One version says that the nine-tailed fox can be eaten by humans, and those who eat it will be protected from evil. Another story depicts the nine-tailed fox as a beast of fortune. Sent by the heavens, the nine-tailed fox was seen as a sign of fortune, peace and luck. In the Han dynasty, it is the protector of royal blood. However, it can also represent an omen of revolution when the Emperor is not good (taken from Wikipedia). Anyway when I went to hand in my assignment I heard people saying "...did we have to put our face on it?..." And I thought, "what?" So I looked at the sheet and sure enough it said we had to draw our face on it just like the last fricken assignment. I didn't tell you about the last assignment did I? Well basically we had to draw a royal portrait of ourselves. So basically I drew some Queen of France's body and then drew my face on top. I got full marks for it but I hated it. And you can probably understand why, and if you can't, don't worry. Anyway I'm kind of glad I didn't read the instructions because there was no way I was going to draw another bloody portrait of myself especially not on a mythological god's body. I just hope I don't get marks deducted for that. I did put a lot of hard work and effort into it though so here it is:

On the weekend I had two parties; one for my cousin who turned 3, and one for my grandad who turned 70. I made a farm cake for my cousin

On Sunday we had so much food for my grandad's 70th. We got to take home tonnes of leftovers. Including a delicious veal tortellini.

This morning I couldn't find my phone and bus pass. I later discovered this afternoon that it was wedged into the side of my bed the whole time. I couldn't find it this morning because we have no home phone, my mum was at work, my dad was asleep so I couldn't unlock his phone to call mine. So that was my morning. Later this afternoon I was getting worried if the bus driver would let me on and if not I'd have to walk all the way to my grandmas and catch a ride home. I was thinking "I have no money, no phone and no bus pass....and no umbrella. Great..."

Thankfully, when I started saying "I'm really sorry I don't have my..." The bus driver said "It's alright you have nothing to worry about..." which was what I was hoping he'd say but sometimes they're really serious about it so that's why I was worried. The bus was unusually empty and by the time it got the last stop there were only about 9 people including myself. But it's all good, I got home and had a nice hot bowl of pumpkin and pesto ravioli (leftover from yesterdays party) and a few pieces (ok maybe more than a few) of Cadbury crunchie chocolate block. And now I am writing this all down to you.

Well thanks for listening if you did. I will update you if anything interesting happens in my life.

Weekly Fox

Here's a funny one

Oh I Wish I'd Looked After Me Teeth

I do not own these images
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth,
And spotted the perils beneath,
All the toffees I chewed,
And the sweet sticky food,
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.

I wish I'd been that much more willin'
When I had more tooth there than fillin'
To pass up gobstoppers,
From respect to me choppers
And to buy something else with me shillin'.

When I think of the lollies I licked,
And the liquorice allsorts I picked,
Sherbet dabs, big and little,
All that hard peanut brittle,
My conscience gets horribly pricked.

My Mother, she told me no end,
"If you got a tooth, you got a friend"
I was young then, and careless,
My toothbrush was hairless,
I never had much time to spend.

Oh I showed them the toothpaste all right,
I flashed it about late at night,
But up-and-down brushin'
And pokin' and fussin'
Didn't seem worth the time... I could bite!

If I'd known I was paving the way,
To cavities, caps and decay,
The murder of fiIlin's
Injections and drillin's
I'd have thrown all me sherbet away.

So I lay in the old dentist's chair,
And I gaze up his nose in despair,
And his drill it do whine,
In these molars of mine,
"Two amalgum," he'll say, "for in there."

How I laughed at my Mother's false teeth,
As they foamed in the waters beneath,
But now comes the reckonin'
It's me they are beckonin'
Oh, I wish I'd looked after me teeth.

Weekly Fox

We've been reading The Outsiders in English and in it he recites Robert Frost's poem:
I do not own these images

Nothing Gold Can Stay

Natures first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

The Fox and the Grapes

I let my brother play on my 3DS yesterday and he said it was the worst game he'd ever played because it was too hard for him and he didn't understand what to do. It reminded me of one of Aesops Fables:

The Fox and the Grapes

One hot summer’s day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. “Just the things to quench my thirst,” quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: “I am sure they are sour.”

And the moral of the story is that "it is easy to despise what you cannot get".

no quotes.....poetry?

Well, I was looking at a poem the other day and thinking about how beautiful can be; and I realized since I've had no quote inspiration for decades I could post poetry. Admittedly it's harder because there is so much poetry and it's hard to find ones I like (and understand) but I know a few so I'll post those first. It's just that, being a teenager; it's hard to blog when I've already got so much other stuff to do (homework and a tonne of assignments - as well as a lot of gaming time).

Anyway here's the one I was thinking of (it's very famous and I'd be surprised if you haven't heard it before):

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I know of desire,
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if I had to perish twice,
I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice

More foxes + pinterest

Hey there everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in AGES. It's just that I haven't had anything to post about and I'm back to school so obviously that's a bore. Anyway, I got back onto pinterest today. It's one of those things I don't do regularly but when I do I do it a lot. You probably think I'm very slack as I haven't even been posting weekly quotes. Well to tell you the truth, I haven't heard any inspiring quotes lately so I know it's disappointing but 'if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all.' But I don't always stick to that advice :D :) ;) Anyway where was I? Oh yes, Pinterest. On my 'Foxes and Woodland Animals, Pictures and Ideas' I now have 356 pins! It's mainly foxes but there are a few other in the mix. I also started a new board 'Cool stamps' which isn't very interesting. Although there are some very amazing, beautiful and cute stamps out there! :) But my main was is still my foxy one. If you haven't guessed, I love foxes.

Anyway while I was pinning away I found this; so this is this week's foxy quote:

Ahh yes, author of 'The Lordof the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' although guiltily I haven't read the books; I have watched the movies however and have them in blu-ray :) Can't wait until Desolation of Smaug comes out in December! I'm gonna going to watch it at IMAX.

By the way my the link to my Pinterest is in the sidebar --->
